Knowledge Skills Training: our year in numbers

2021 has been a busy year for the Library and our Knowledge Skills Training programme!

  • We’ve delivered over 11,370 minutes of information skills training to staff and placement students at UHCW
  • 37% of training bookings came from Nursing and Midwifery staff
  • Attendees rated our learning materials a fantastic 4.7 out of 5
  • 45% of bookings were for literature searching sessions

We’ve popped all this key data into this infographic to sum up our year in numbers:

If you didn’t already know, our Knowledge and Information Skills Training sessions are available free of charge for all UHCW staff and students on placement. From getting to grips with using the Library catalogue to literature searching, critical appraisal and beyond, we’re here to help you make the best of the evidence to support you in practice.

Our training programme features 6 core sessions focusing relating to Finding the Evidence and Understanding the Evidence. Click the image below to view and download our training brochure, or view the brief course descriptions on the Training pages of the Library website to find out how we can support your learning and research as we head into 2022.
