Knowledge Skills Training at UHCW Library

Stressed by your search strategy? Confused by critical appraisal? Your Knowledge Skills Librarian is here to help!

Our Knowledge and Information Skills Training sessions are available free of charge for all UHCW staff and students on placement. From getting to grips with using the Library catalogue to literature searching, critical appraisal and beyond, we’re here to help you make the best of the evidence to support you in practice.

Our new training sessions have been designed to focus on skills relating to both Finding the Evidence and Understanding the Evidence. This is based on the feedback we received from our Training Needs Survey (2020) where UHCW staff identified literature searching and critical appraisal as the skills they would most like to see covered in the Library’s training programme.
